has become the most expensive ever sold at auction.
An anonymous buyer bought the Birkin bag - made of crocodile bred to be so
pale it supposedly evoked Himalayan mountains - for HK$2.32m ($299,000; ￡
206,000) at Christie's auction house in Hong Kong.
