b********n 发帖数: 38600 | 2 China has been very consistent in their position on trade. They are not
going to be bullied, coerced or concede to policies that will harm China’s
economy. In addition, the recent US focus on “trade” is also directed at
China’s 2025 plan, where China intends to become a world leader in AI,
robotics, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, etc. Isn’t this
exactly the path followed by the US post-WWII. In addition, the US used
taxpayer money- DOE, DOD, NIH, NSF to fund research in particle physics,
electronics, computers and biomedical research. China is not responsible for
creating the massive economic problems now confronting the US. This is a
direct result of US corporate greed. Indeed, these policies include: 1)
financial deregulation, 2) decades of tax cuts for the wealthy, 3) lack of
investment of new plants and equipment and education, 3) continuing attacks
on labor and job outsourcing, 4) spending astronomical amounts of money on
the Pentagon and wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, - will DPRK
and Iran be next? As anyone who is capable of thinking, these wars are
bankrupting the country and have become strategic debacles. I doubt that
Steven Mnuchin, Wilbur Ross, Robert Lighthizer or Peter Navarro have the
intellectual capacity to understand this. What a pathetic joke.
