China in an insidious campaign of terror of its own citizens. A monster
regime destroying the dignity of its people.
They deserve no respect & must be required to render its citizens inherent
rights of LIFE,LIBERTY and Pursuit of Happiness all of which parallels our
Democrat Party in too many ways.

and introduce new limits on Chinese investment in U.S. high-tech industries
as part of a broad campaign to crack down on Chinese acquisition of U.S.

But doesn't Trump's bailout of ZTE kind of negate cracking down on
acquisition of U.S. Technology? Is this really just window dressing for
Trump voters to make it look like Trump is tough on China.

I'm sure those transcripts will see the light of day the moment his tax

I personally know half a dozen people who are Wharton alumni or currently
attending. The word is that apparently Trump was a lousy student who only
got in through help with a connection in admissions as a transfer.

Most people bragging about a Wharton degree got an MBA. Trump went there two
years (after two years at Fordham) and graduated without distinction. He
probably paid someone to write his papers, just as he paid someone to write
the Art of the Deal. He doesn't read or focus on details.

There are actually good reasons for imposing some kind of sanctions/limits
on trade in certain key strategic sectors (but ideally not tariffs as that
is the worst tool to use), as it's absolutely true the Chinese are cheating
and stealing their way to first-world status.
But with "Captain Chaos" at the wheel, what we are going to end up with is
just that, chaos.

DON'T JUST "FOLLOW" THE MONEY, WATCH WHERE IT IS
Trump's rabid supporters already believe that he has "de-nuclearized" North
Korea (that's old news - happened weeks ago!), created a trade surplus with
China and completely stopped unauthorized immigration. Not to mention curing
cancer.
Wall Street takes a different view. The old saying was: "buy on facts, sell
on rumors." Well, Trump is always all over the map all the time, but you'll
notice that he never really imposes serious trade sanctions nor gets
substantial concessions.
He can't get substantial concessions because our trading partners are wise
to his game of threats, buster and pretense which is designed solely to rile
up his ignorant base supporters. (You know, the folks who think he's
already gotten Kim to give up his nukes.)
He won't impose serious pain, because he needs big business to fill those
dark money coffers. (Plus, he doesn't want to harm his own portfolio, nor
those of his wealthy friends - i.e. all of them.)
If Wall Street truly felt threatened, we'd see it reflected in stock prices.
That's happened before, but it won't occur again, because investors are
changing the channel.

His only successful international bullying was against our ally - South
Korea. He put a 50 percent import duty, taxing American consumers who bought
non-Whirlpool washing machines and forced the S Koreans to cut their steel
exports by 30 percent.
That bashing may come back to haunt the US as the S Koreans consider whether
to maintain their alliance with the US (which can't effectively protect
them against N Korea) or form a new alliance with China (which could easily
protect them). China might want to protect a democratic, capitalistic S
Korea to get the US laregly out of Asia and in hopes of convincing
democratic, capitalistic Taiwan to federate with them some day.

Whatever he is doing, it’s working. The economy is booming, unemployment is
low (and for minorities as he promised), de nuking NK and getting a nobel
peace prize, showing strength around the world, tax cuts, Neil gorsuch, de
regulation, negotiating trade deals to America’s benefit etc etc
The list is endless. You may not like Trump personally, but results wise, no
one can deny he’s the most successful president of all time, I would say
of any country. Some people compare Trump to Churchill, as orators I would
agree, but Churchill wasn’t as good as Trump with the economy or anything
else.

Wrong part of the business cycle for fiscal stimulus. Should have been
reducing the deficit (as Obama did during the later years) instead of
increasing the debt for a trillion dollar tax cut for the rich, peanuts for
some of the middle class, and cuts in programs for the poor and elderly.

Trump gets credit for not harming the economy, as he promised to do. However
all of us will be paying for those tax cuts, whereas only a few people made
out like bandits with the stock buybacks they financed (i.e. the very
wealthy).
You are correct however that he has governed to the political right of
Calvin Coolidge and is taking us back to the Gilded Age as fast as he can (
except for increasing defense spending). That might be a tremendous
achievement as far as you're concerned, but wait until he finishes gutting
Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA. Your health care premiums will go up as a
result.

the high debt in the medium term.
