seen in my life. During a 2007 campaign rally in front of his own
supporters, he admonished a republican woman voter for saying that Obama was
a "muslim" and that she "didn't trust him." He stuck up for his opponent
in front of his own supporters and got booed for it.
That's real political courage, folks. I dare anyone to find a contemporary
politician with such strong character.
Senator, you will be sorely missed. |
