cyclical, boom/bust nature of de-regulated Capitalism and free markets. He
was pretty accurate in forecasting that the desire to extract ever greater
levels of profit, by driving down wages and demanding ever-increasing levels
of output, would lead to a polarization of socio-economic groups, rising
Nationalism and the use of increasingly draconian measures to keep the
victims of the casino economy in check. Indeed, despite being dead for over
120 years, his works foretold the crash of 2008, just as they did that of
1929 and all the others that have occurred around the world whenever rampant
capitalism was allowed to run riot. His name was Karl Marx. Look him up.
