Police: Circumstances Unclear
Tucson police are trying to determine what prompted a shootout that left
three people dead after gunfire was exchanged between people in a car and at
least one person walking in a city park.
Police say those killed were in the car with two other people on Thursday
when at least one person in the car exchanged gunfire with at least one of
two people walking in Lakeside Park on Tucson's southeast side.
Identities of those killed weren't released and Sgt. Pete Dugan said
detectives' investigation includes trying to determine whether the shooting
was gang related.
Dugan said the two surviving people in the car haven't cooperated with
detectives and no immediate arrests were made.
Several people in the park said they heard at least a dozen shots fired. |
