Fed will steadily increase interest rates, but since Powell has signaled the
current rate is very close to the norm, dollar is going to tank.
So, interest rate is a double edge sword. Banks and corporate America like
the 9 year old effectively negative rate, but dollar needs a higher rate to
support it's value.
with a weak dollar, capital will flow again back to emerging markets, and
this will not help US economy from being busted.

nice phrase called "quantitative easing". however, as you mentioned, that
fed has increased the interest rate to a "normal" level. typically,
quantitative easing is not going along with increasing the interest rate. if
fed is not
doing quantitative easing, no more new cash comes to the market, how can
inflation happen? thanks for your input in advance.

borrow more from their credit cards to meet their living ends, instead of
the inflation caused by the more consumer debt?
