发帖数: 38600 | 2 Iran would lose a conventional confrontation/war with the US. No doubt. But
I doubt they would wage a symmetrical conventional war with the US.
Iran could do many things that could severely hurt the US and world economy
without leaving clear fingerprints showing they were responsible.
They could use suicide terrorists world wide to attack commercial aviation
or carry out assassinations of political leaders. They have had a long time
to reverse engineer the computer code we installed on their centrifuge
control systems that crippled them. They could take that same code and
unleash it on our power grid. They could dump radioactive or biological
agents into major US or European supplies of drinking water. They could
bring terrorist hit squads into the US for suicide attacks on crowded
shopping malls, universities, densely populated urban areas. Or give those
same hit squads some shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles to use on
commercial aviation. Could you imagine what would happen to US air travel if
terrorists shot down a commercial jet taking off from O'Hare? Iran may even
be able to orchestrate floating a North Korean nuke into one of our major
ports, such as Baltimore or LA. What would happen to Trump's 'beautiful
economy' then?
They could do all of the above in Europe as a means to separate us from our
allies.
There are hundreds of things the Iranians could do that would severely
disrupt western society and kill many civilians. Ultimately the US would
prevail. But we would never be sure when or where in the world the next
terrorist attack could occur. In the meantime our economy would crash.
Allies would abandon us for how our reckless behavior caused terrorism on
their soil. All the while Russia and China sit back and seize assets, hearts
, and minds across the world.
These people are fanatics and will die when pushed against the wall.
Is supporting Israel's treacherous ways really worth it? That is the crux of
the issue, is it not? | V*******n
