The language Trump used sounds pretty official, right? "Hereby ordered!" It
makes me think of a king reading a proclamation off of a long scroll!
Here's the thing: Donald Trump can't order American business to do anything.
There's a reason the business world is known as the "private sector" --
because it's not owned or controlled by the government (aka the "public
sector.") We don't have state-run industry (or media). The President of the
United States can't "order" privately held business to do, well, much of
anything. |

20 years, with forecasts going back 50 years, and find it ghoulishly
fascinating to see it all coming to fruition in real time, fed by the idiocy
of the current adminstration.
Trump belongs in an adult daycare. His quality of analysis seems nonexistent
. He seems to be channeling Al Capone, or something equally bovine. "I'm
gonna really stick it to those Chicoms, yeahhhh! Derpaderp! Winning!"
Stupid ***.

not the governments place to be running private business. If Tech company A
decided it was willing to trade it's intellectual property(it's not America'
s, it is owned solely by the company and its shareholders) so it could
exploit cheap Chinese labor and have some access to their market, then that
is their right to do so. It is not the US Presidents job to stop bad
business decisions by individual companies. And if China "steals" technology
provided to them by by Google, Apple, Qualcomm, etc, they aren't stealing
from the USDA, they are stealing from shareholders(20-40% of whom would be
foreign nationals) |

坏。
除非美国公司全撤回到美国，美国人全用美国自己产品。那样美国经济会倒退几十年。
不要忘了川普的贸易战不是只对中国一个国家。日本和欧洲就是他接下来的目标。
美国和其主要贸易国家中绝大多数有贸易逆差。这些国家川普都不会放过。
贸易战的最后结局是美国和全世界隔绝开来。
It is not only buying cheap things for American people.
When American people buy expensive things from sellers other than China,
they will have less disposable income to buy things like iphone, cars, etc.
So American companies will have less demand for their products, while they
would pay higher wage since their employees need more money to buy the same
amount of things.
At the same time, China people will also buy less things from these
American companies since they are hit by tariff, with less income.So the
situation is a lose-lose game for both countries.
Trade is always a mutual benefit thing, but trump now turn it into lose-
lose game.
