and most importantly Western which means free and democratic...
Oh wait it was a colony, a conquered piece of territory occupied by foreign
invaders for centuries, imposing foreign values and culture on an unwilling
population. It's easy for the bourgeois Hong Kong citizens now to pretend it
was always peachy, but it never was. They just benefited and had Stockholm
