Health experts believe the variant spreads more rapidly, but there is no
evidence to suggest that it evades vaccines antibodies more easily

印度2019冠狀病毒疾病（COVID-19）感染人數暴增，今天單日新增確診超過10萬人，
是繼美國之後，第2個單日新增確診破10萬的國家，疫情最嚴重的省醫院人滿為患。
印度2月初確診創下多月新低後，每日新增確診暴增約12倍。當局2月放寬大部分防疫限
制，民眾大多不再戴口罩或保持社交距離。部分流行病專家表示，疫情捲土重來，可能
也和更具傳染力的變種病毒有關。
衛生部資料顯示，印度今天單日新增確診10萬3558 人，累計確診1260萬例，僅次於美
國和巴西。印度過去一週的感染人數高居全球之冠。
病逝人數方面，印度今天新增478人，累計16萬5101人病逝，仍是世界上染疫病逝率最
低的國家之一。
