Kaiser Permanente, we are seeing increasing infections and hospitalizations.
Our doctors and care teams are concerned about your health and the health
of our vulnerable patients.
The scientific data based on very large clinical trials clearly shows that
COVID-19 vaccines are effective in reducing infection and serious disease.
Updated Hospital Visitor Policy
As of August 11, 2021, new California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
regulations require all visitors to the hospital to be fully vaccinated or
provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the previous 72 hours.
Fully vaccinated means at least 2 weeks after the final dose in either a 2
dose vaccine series (Pfizer or Moderna) or the single dose series (Johnson &
Johnson/Janssen).
For a list of accepted forms of proof of vaccination, visit CDPH guidance
for proof of vaccination. You can view your immunization record at kp.org or
through the My Doctor Online app.
If you are not yet vaccinated, you are required to show documented proof of
an authorized (not home-kit) negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of
the visit to the hospital.
We will allow for any exemptions outlined by the CDPH in the state order.
Details may change over time.
This vaccination and testing policy applies to visitors to our inpatient
hospitals. In addition, all visitors and patients coming to any of our
facilities (both inpatient and outpatient) will still be screened for
illness and required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. |
