have requested Mexico to arrest Meng, which was the destination of Meng's
trip. But they chose Canada for the single purpose to ruin the Canada-China
free trade deal. Canada on the other hand dropped the ball. They could use
backchannel to warn Meng, but didn't, which got themselves to be between a
rock and hard place.
The outcome:
China has no choice but to retaliate. This strategic move by the USA has
permanently damaged relationship between Canada and China, and ruined any
