It is a dangerous folly for the United States to extend security guarantees
to small nations that quarrel with their neighbors.

The underlining causes of refugee crisis on the Poland-Belarus:
1) The Bush and Blair invasion of Iraq has turned that country and much of
the region into an unlivable hellhole of poverty and violence. Leaving many
in the region with no alternative but to leave the region for greener
pastures. Poland participated in that invasion.
2) The EU's liberal policies towards refugees from the Middle East and North
Africa along with its generous financial packages for newcomers is the
magnet drawing these refugees towards EU countries.
3) The EU's decision to close its air-space to the Belarusian state-owned
airline, Belavia, simply because they do not like the leader the Belarusians
elected, left Belavia with no alternative but to find new routes. Which
they did in the Middle East.
Blaming Belarus (or in some cases Russia) for this refugee crisis is an
attempt by the leaders in the US, UK and EU to escape culpability for their
own missteps and stupid decisions. |
