Preliminary reports said that 31-year-old Mallory Brooke Baskins was on a
motorcycle traveling eastbound on the interstate. According to investigators
, an SUV made an unsafe lane change, causing Baskins to swerve to avoid it.
The motorcycle lost control, ejecting Baskins onto the median. An 18-wheeler
behind Baskins reportedly had brakes out of service. The 18-wheeler swerved
onto the median to avoid traffic. There, the 18-wheeler ran over Baskins. |
