July 9 (Bloomberg) -- U.K. Defense Equipment Minister Peter
Luff confirmed that Britain had placed an order for only one Lockheed Martin
Corp. F-35B Joint Strike Fighter plane so far for deployment on the Royal
Navy’s new aircraft carriers by 2020.
“Technically yes,” Luff said in an interview at the Farnborough Air Show
in southern England today, when asked if the U.K. had ordered only one of
the planes. He said Lockheed
Martin has also “got a contract for three test and evaluation aircraft”
from the British government.
Under plans set out in 2010, at least one of the navy’s two new carriers
will come into service by 2020. The other may be mothballed.
“There is a deadline we have to meet -- 2020,” Luff said. “We will buy
the aircraft necessary” to make the carrier operational by 2020.
“The exact pattern, the exact price, the exact negotiation is still to be
determined,” Luff said. |

本来美帝的出路之一就是尽量的砍掉B保证AC的产量降低成本的，现在加了英帝两条航
母的数量至少得要七八十架吧，爱抚三五项目就又变成搞平衡了，成本还是降不下来
加上英帝这一次的，到现在35B的订单量总共也不到200架吧
