两者是都是名将，但是称罗伯特李为李将军合情合理，他杀的是米国人，而且他姓李。
李奇微姓李奇微，成名主要靠的是中国人的血肉之躯，他不姓李且不配姓李。

可能有一定的血缘关系，但即使没有血缘关系，人用李为姓，也是显示对中华的尊重。

我能想到的有两个可能，一是有华人血统，二是崇尚中华。
但是纯属猜测，没有依据
