, said China is developing the high-speed vehicle as an outgrowth of its
anti-ship ballistic missile, the DF-21D.
“It’s a big deal,” Wortzel said in an interview.
Wortzel said that unless the U.S. military develops directed energy weapons,
including lasers and pulsed rail guns “we don’t have a counter” to the
hypersonic missile threat.
“It really forces us further away from China’s coasts,” he said.

只是常规武器所代表的战术行动能力亟需提高。但是究竟要发展什么样的武备，去执行
什么样的任务？中国自己也不清楚。老是被周围破国占便宜实在吞不下这口气。可是要
说直接打过去吧，似乎也不大愿意。

laser通过持续加热来破坏目标物体
hypersonic 飞行物因为要抗高温，有很好的隔热层，正好防御激光武器
如果是在导弹上升段倒是可以用，只是这样估计的天基激光平台了
