of the tunnel, this is easier to deter using missiles and air force than a
cross-strait attack, where we face more foreign interference.
I bet as soon as the tunnel construction begins, the Taiwan government will
start the peace talks, and the final deal will be signed right before the the

当然这只能是统一以后才可能的.
另外问一句, 要是隔十二海里修个桥墩, 圈一片外海当领海, 能被承认吗?

you risk being bombed during construction.

另外，就算是修桥了，也还是得修海底隧道啊。
万一打起仗来，天上卫星看着呢，桥梁隐蔽性不好。
