发帖数: 818 | 6 I do not think the majority of lakes in Minnesota have water that clear
enough for snorkeling. Those have clear water usually have dense aquatic
plants, too danger to snorkel. Also beware of snap turtles. You do not want
to be bite by them, do you?
Nevertheless, I did find a lake with gentle sandy beach and clear water
quality:
Lake Edward.
However, there few things to see in the water: a few aquatic insects, fresh
water shellfish...Not worth snorkeling...

发帖数: 818 | 8 Do not worry. They won't kill you. Try to find a lake with sandy public
beach. If a lake has parasites or high level of bacteria, it would be closed.
To be honest, I never saw a Minnesota lake with public beach has so clear
water as Lake Edward. I was told the lake is fed by underground spring water.
I was surprised to find another lake inside the Twin Cities metro that has
crystal clear snorkelable water quality. It is the Holland Lake in Eagan. It
may be beautiful to snorkel in because it has
