强南一：生于成都，5岁学琴，7岁公开演奏，9岁获得四川省钢琴考级10级证书。15岁
首次与交响乐团合作“黄河”钢琴协奏曲。18岁以文化课和钢琴专业第一名的成绩考入
四川音乐学院钢琴系，师从西南地区首位获得钢琴艺术博士学位的留美钢琴家杨成刚教
授。2005获得香港toyama亚洲青年音乐家比赛钢琴组第一名。2009年获得钢琴演奏本科
学位后，以最高额度奖学金考入西雅图华盛顿大学音乐学院钢琴系，师从美国钢琴大师
Craig Sheppard教授，攻读钢琴演奏硕士学位。2010年3月被邀请作为“客座艺术家”
在肯塔基莫海德大学举办钢琴独奏音乐会。2013年1月考入明尼苏达大学钢琴系攻读音乐
艺术博士学位， 并担任助教工作。

Piano instruction / lessons available at Twin Cities Area
I’m a UMN Doctoral student majoring in Piano. As a classical
pianist working on my DMA degree, teaching piano is an integral
part of my career. I teach beginners to advanced level students of all ages,
children and adults. I have available openings for this spring semester.
Please call for your preferred time.
The first lesson is FREE! Lessons are taught on grand pianos and are very
reasonably priced.

Nanyi (Neil) Qiang: born in Chengdu, China. He started playing piano at the
age of 5 and gave a first public performance at the age of 7. In 2004, He
won the first prize in The Second Hongkong Asian Youth Music Competition(
Pianoforte Grade 8 Group). He got his Bachelor of Music’s degree in Piano
Performance at Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Chengdu, China.He holds
Master of Music's degree in Piano Performance from the University of
Washington, Seattle. Currently he is pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts
degree
at the University of Minnesota, working as a teaching assistant.He is also
the
recipient of Marsh scholarship and Metzler-Dell scholarship.On March 24,
2010, he was invited by Morehead State University, KY to give a solo recital
as part of their guest artists series. He recently competed as the finalist
in the Seattle International Piano Competition (2010) and University of
Washington Concerto Competition (2009). He has appeared in UW Summer Piano
Institute as well as Seattle International Piano Festival, most recently,
The Vancouver International Song Institute(2012). | a******g
