deposit and earn cash back. But I want to make sure if using Charles Schwab
card to open Citibank checking account will be starndard pruchase or Cash
Advance?

不知道
了，我用SCHWAB CC FUND过CITIZENS BANK，Sovereign bank,都算PURCHASE。

现在FIA的卡(fidelity,schwab)，boa的卡，chase的卡，citi自己的卡都会自动把
citibank online的purchase code改成cash advance code
因为citibank允许用credit card做初始deposit最高到10万美金
无数的人拿了无数的schwab cashback，拿了无数的chase的UA里程，CO里程，拿了无数
的citi AA里程，所以，从今年2月份开始，大概是2月24号之后，基本上所有的信用卡
公司都会把citibank online自动改成cash advance
这是一个持续数年的大cashback盛宴，没赶上的就没了
BTW，这在中国是被中国人民银行严格查处的信用卡套现行为，呵呵，citi是个很牛的银行 |

Update on Schwab.
Since I had previously been told by Schwab my last account at CITI wouild
earn points (but they had not appearred) I called to inquire today.
An apparently knowledgable representative said she had handeld several such
inquiries. apparently at some point fraud had gotten involved on the
numerous such charges
and she said had gotten in trouble for how they were sending these in (
apparently from VISA) and procedures had been changed. She said a signed
receipt from

发帖数: 311 | 12 For schwab, it looks the best result is cash equivalent which incurs no fee nor reward
points
the worst result will be cash advance. So try a high enough initial deposit
and if it is treated as cash adv, it won't go through.
