I got declined by Chase once when I only had 2 cards (amazon and freedom).
The reason was something like this: it is not because of your credit, but
the estimated reward we will get will not out weight our cost maintaining
the card.
That was when freedom was my primary card and I was putting a lot of
expenses on it.
