12/06 called in the afternoon. Just told me it was in final stage. asked me
to call back on next Monday.
12/06 night. called again to check status. got approved.

There's debate about the value of CC points (see this thread on valuation).
If you redeem 50k points at a $500 property in Paris, your points can be
worth 1cpp. More typical redemptions will yield values of perhaps .5-.8cpp,
and exceptional values can be much higher. Now, is this worth going out of
your way for? Diverting a business trip from another chain will probably be
a no-brainer for most travelers (as this is a rather promo-poor summer), and
if you're considering doing a mattress run you should do the math and
figure out whether it's worth the investment.

换里程一般般，换酒店大多数不值
但是和这张卡的其他功能合起来用 还是很不错的
特别对账户里已经有十几万几十万的人

was posted in the thread in the Hotels forum, log into your CC acct and then
try making a res for 2 free nights and see if towards the bottom theres a
Red box telling you since you're a CreditCard holder your 2nd night is free,
if you see that that means you were approved for the CC " |

My experience:
Last week I applied for 5 credit cards. Amex hilton and AA business visa
were instantly approved. It is crazy since I have not got instant approve
for almost 8 months. Chase club card in under review and called in one hour
later and move some credit line from other cards and get approved. It is
normal since this year I got 6 personal cards and 2 business cards from
chase. American SPG business is still in progress. All three inquires hit EX
. It is crazy since I have 22 inquiries in EX during the past 24 months and
12 inquiries during the past 12 months.
I think I can't get club carlson because i never deal with US bank before.
And my average credit history is short because from this year I start apply
for 4-5 credit cards every three months. The EQ and Transunion is below 700
and EX is around 730. I do not know why. But since I got two instant approve
I decide to try club carlson. The result is under review. But today I check
the status and find my card have been approved. It is crazy.
From the post I read here, I think US bank have their own special system to
make decision. The only advantage for me is I spend a lot and always to pay
earlier to get credit available to use. This year I spent over$300,000 on
all kinds of cards I have. Of course I also bought over 90k ice cream on my
two ink card.
This year I applied for 18 credit cards and only US airway master card
turned me down.

最近申的卡太多了，而且都是被pull了EX。加上AMEX的贡献，分数都降到670以下了……
虽然就拿到了屌丝版的Club Carlson Platinum Rewards Visa card，但是主要的功能
和Rewards Visa Signature Card基本一样。
正好10月份已经用UA里程订了明年6月去欧洲的stopover。刚刚试了一下，预定的最后
一步结果如下图。
确实是个好卡~ |

Current Bonus: 85,000 bonus points – 50,000 upon first purchase, additional
35,000 when you spend $2,500 in 90 days.
Category Spending Bonuses: 10 points per $1 at Carlson Rezidor hotels, 5
points per $1 on other purchases.
Perks: When you redeem Gold Points for 2 or more consecutive Award Nights,
your last night is free; 40,000 renewal bonus points each year; automatic

Park Plaza, Park Inn, Country Inn & Suites tend to be lower end properties,
so in my opinion the number of truly aspirational properties (and thus
really lucrative redemptions) are limited compared to other chains. Gold
status is worth $50 and the elite qualifying nights another $100, for a
total estimated value of $872.50 + 40,000 renewal bonus of $200 – $75
annual fee = $997.50.
