父亲来美探亲，突发脑溢血，在医院已呆了5个多星期，医生说状态稳定，但他依然需
要胃导管和呼吸道管支持生命。现在眼睛能睁开，右侧手腿能动，但不能对任何指令做
出反应。应该没有生命危险，因为做过动脉瘤微创手术。
后天医院组织医生，social worker, case manager, 病人家属开会决定我父亲的去向
。谢谢大家出点主意，该怎样应付？我是想父亲能赖在医院。

这么大的事情觉得你老公应该参与的, 既然他有工作了, 看看能不能把你父亲加到他的
保险上, 有的保险是有回溯日的, 譬如你1月31号之前买的保险能cover你1月1号以后的
费用. 当然这是钱的方面, 更重要是你父亲没事, 觉得如果允许出院, 在美国呆一段时
间也好, 毕竟空气环境质量不错, 调养好了再回去. 有可能涉及的一个问题是, 脑溢血
回复时间很长, 有可能他的签证过期, 这个要请教下别人了...

请到Medicaid或其它的为低收入者提供的医疗计划(other programs for low-income).
2. 打电话到当地的公共卫生部门(local Public Health Department),那里的社工人员
(social worker)会帮你找找当地的health care programs---ask what public health
services are offered in your community.他们会提供你居住区各医院可能有的免费
或低收费计划,如:" free clinics","charity care" or "indigent care" programs.
