why?
even if the their relation broke, our account should be set back to the
original exp date
so i dont think it's an issue here

the free period will be cancelled by ShopRunner and forfeited by you. If you
currently have a free or promotional membership on your ShopRunner account,
you should consider whether to enroll in the benefit at this time.
This is the thing that I was concerned.

my current exp date is 2015/12, which is 2 yrs from now and i believe most
of us here may have exp date as late as early 2016 or just similar to mine
the current relation should last at least 1 yr. once the relation unties, i
feel shoprunner will at least give another 6 months for courtesy to relieve
the anger from us.
Basically, my judgement is the risk is very low
