, and the card # will be provided to the agency. I want to help, and my cc
has high credit limit.
To limit the risk in case my credit card information become leaky at the
agency, I would like to call the bank to reduce the credit limit to $800,
good to pay the applications fee. If the agency misuse it, no more than $
800 of loss before I know it is misused and try to dispute.
Will there be any negative impact on my credit score if the bank reduce the
credit limit upon my request? |

affect your credit score since your total credit limit contributes to your
credit score around 30%~40%.
If I were you, I won't have this concern. Almost all US credit card are
fraud charge liability free. |

Virtual CC # sounds a way to go. Can one virtual CC# be used repeatly
withinn
a few weeks?
I don't like the way how my niece handle the applications, like pay a lot to
the agency to do it (and the agency is still asking for cc to pay the
applications fees), instead doing applications herself. I am worrying if
she can't handle the applications herself, how can she be independent enough
to be successful studying in an US school. Anyway, I am a helper here,
trying to provide little support, not in a position to change her decision
of pursuing study aboard. |
