先去这里确认一下自己的airline

跟去年一样就没必要改了
1. AA的gift card应该没问题
2. UA的gift certificate最近有人没拿到，但是买gift registry没问题.
UA的GC和GR区别

UA的GC五年有效但是一次只能用一张
UA的GR两年有效，两年后变成一年有效的travel certificate. 由于GR可以累积,使用
起来没有张数限制
AA的GC还是没有效期，一次可以用8张 giftcards.aa.com
这些GC/GR都只能用来买机票，不能用来支付奖励机票的手续费，也不能用来支付奖励
机票的infant seat fare.

如果您买AA GC的话，不要忘记可以买“Cards for a Cause”的GC。

呵呵，我做小白鼠，今天买了UA的$200 GC(单笔)，看过几天的结果了，到时来更新。
去年是11月买的，也是单笔UA $200 GC，拿到refund没问题。

等到明天，如果还没有估计就悬了。
一般是2天给Credit，Posted Day是1/3，1/5才能看到。

买了UA的GC，过了4天还没拿到，估计是没戏了。。早看到帖子就好了。。。。

客服就是在忽悠，他们也不知道你能否拿到，只是term里面显示可能需要4-6周而已。
amex credit一般给的很快，短期没有，很危险吧。

嗯，今天买了$200 UA GR，let's see how fast the reimbursement would happen.
BTW, a detailed reading of flyertalk thread shows that you can have
reimbursement on UA GC ONLY IF your purchase amount is less than $100 (say,
$50). However, as the lz pointed out, it is not easy to use many $50 GC (one
GC allowed per reservation). So may not worth it.

This is the final update: after three days of "contribute" a single $200 to
my GR, I got the reimbursement as the other UR buyers witnessed. It has been
13 days since the day I bought GC. So pretty sure I got it due to GR.
Regret I didn't listen to what flyertalk says.
