and charge some $, or take a UA flight (booking a flight alone is not
sufficent), further I believe it needs to be a revenue ticket (earning miles
) to count -- you might want call United to clarify this last point.

其实如果你点数过期之前，先用点数订一张短途票，订完后系统就会立即自动顺延过期
时间，然后把这个票再退掉，点数又会很快复原，不用花费任何代价就能顺延
这个我只试过UA，不知道别家的是不是也这样 | u***n
