I am presently outside of Canada and will go to Montreal for citizenship
test. I heard the test and ceremony is no longer the same day / 3 weeks
apart. I wonder if I can travel outside of Canada between the citizenship
test and citizenship ceremony?

yes. but make sure u leave a canadian address for notice of oath.
