in with a white family at age 20 after a young boy invited him home for
dinner, to his unlikely basketball discovery at a tiny college in Oklahoma,
to becoming one of the most voracious rebounders and defenders in National
Basketball Association history, to a teary ceremony Friday where his No. 10
Detroit Pistons jersey was lifted to The Palace rafters.
During his Piston years, Rodman randomly picked up a homeless person in
Detroit many times, took him to a Pistons game, bought him clothes, and gave
him money — the same kind of hand up which once benefited him.
"My kids have never seen me play, not even on videos,This will probably be
the first time they see a video of their father actually, you know, doing
something positive in life."
"A lot of people look at me and say ‘There goes Dennis Rodman, the party
guy,’ or ‘There goes Dennis Rodman, the Bad Boy. It’s very difficult for
people to see me as a cool, loving father figure."
"I just feel that I didn’t deserve to have my number retired because I didn
’t do as much as I should here,"
I was part of a 12-man band here. I just loved playing the basketball game
and I just loved the people who gave us so much energy. It wasn’t about
Dennis Rodman, or Isiah Thomas, or Joe Dumars. It was a whole group. It
started with the front office. They made sure we stayed together for those
five years, from ’86 to ’91. There were a lot of times we could’ve just
broken away."
"You had to fight. You couldn’t go in the lane and just make a layup and
have somebody touch you. Back then, you got knocked on your ass. Then, you
had to get up, try to make a free throw, play defense, come back down, run
up and down the court, then get knocked down again. We kind of started that
with the Bad Boys. It was great, with the fact that we really didn’t hurt
anybody, we were just so physical and so intense." | J********i 发帖数: 50662 | 2 这么传奇阿。。。
不过他退役后的生活好像不怎么样
有一回在LA的海边看到他在拍戏,和一群侏儒打篮球,感觉很唏嘘,人看上去很老了
