Thanks to Florida's Gators, the Southeastern Conference once again rules the
two most popular sports in college athletics.
Florida became the first school in NCAA history to hold football and men's
basketball titles at thesame time. Thus, the SEC has concurrent champions in
those sports for the third time in 10 years - the only league to double-dip
even once during that period.
The SEC held concurrent men's basketball and football championships twice in
the 1990s: Kentucky basketball and Tenness
