there was said to be a strong
possibility that he would transfer to another school this offseason.
However, he might change his tune following the hiring of new coach Will
Muschamp. According to the Palm
Beach Post, Brantley's high school coach Kerwin Bell said that Brantley may
have transferred if the team hadn't
switched coaching staffs, but with Muschamp in the fold, things could be
very different in 2011. It's still
unclear if offensive coordinator Steve Addazio will be back (and what role
that might play in Brantley's
decision), and it's also unclear if Muschamp would rather go with a pocket
passer like Brantley as his QB or a
dual-threat option like Trey Burton or Jordan Reed.
The Gators' QB of the future, incoming freshman Jeff Driskel, is
accomplished as both a runner and a passer,
so it looks like Muschamp will have options going forward. Whatever he
decides, though, could have a major
impact on where Brantley chooses to spend his final collegiate season. | n*****h
