From the 1904 Summer Olympics through the 2004 games, 415 Trojan athletes
have competed in the Games, taking home 122 gold medals (with at least 1
gold in every summer Olympics since 1912), 76 silver and 60 bronze.
There have been more Trojans in the Olympics than from any other university
in the world - if USC were its own nation in the Olympics, it would rank
tied for 8th in the world in total gold medals earned.
