Let's not just look at their football teams. Please! Look at the population
loss in mid west. It is not a sustainable trend for B1G conference to be
competent in the long run, academically and athletically. Getting into NYC
and Mid Atlantic areas (where population is stable or even increasing) is a
big boost - we need a footprint there so people in these regions feel they
are at home in the B1G conference. I expect admissions of students from
these regions will increase over the years - which is a good sign for B1G
future!
