3. Many of the "wide-open offense" guys [folks like Briles, Leach, Helfrich,
Chris Peterson, RichRod] all have Oregon 9 or higher -- while the Ducks
overall rank was 12.
4. Briles among the few coaches who have Mizery [SEC] outside the top 10 [
Frank Beamer at 14, Briles at 13, Chris Petersen at 13, O'Leary at UCF at 11
].
5. Briles also among few who has yet another SEC team [SCAR] ALSO outside
the top 10 [Briles at 11, Helfrich, Todd Graham at ASU].
6. Briles also has Ohio State [a former No. 2 and B1G] WAY back at 10 after
a loss to a good Sparty team [only Bielema at Arky has them lower at 12 --
but close college football observers know the story behind that one]
7. Briles also has Sparty [another B1G] ranked lowest of all his peers [by
two spots no less] at No. 8 ...
8. And Briles has neither Aggy nor Duke [both tied at 21] nor Miami [25th]
ranked at all. He also has Clemson at 14 [overall is 11] ... |
