Hi all,
I am gonna to conduct some tests for CNT synthesis with SS mesh coated by
Cobalt. My question is:
1. What kind of carrier should I use?
2. How can I hold the sample after the test, is there any sepcial after-
treatment?
Can anyone also give me some link for where I can buy such carriers?

please describe clearly, waht kind of tests, what carriers used for,
otherwise ppl dont understand your question.

Thanks.
I am doing flame sythesis of carbon nanotubes, and use Cobalt as catalyst,
which is boated on the 400X400 stainless steel mesh of size 1"X1". I would
like to know what kind of carriers used for holding used meshes, where the
CNTs might be found after the test.

the answer depends largely on the geometry of your reaction
there is no easy answer for it

Actually I just want to know normally what kind of carriers (box / bottle /
slip cover / wafer holders / etc.) are used to hold the used meshes after
test. So that I can have a better idea how to deal with my special case.
Any hint? I mean, are there any options to the best of your knowledge? So
that I can make a decision then based on what are provided.

all those you mentioned could be used if it fits your reactor and reaction
condition.
a few things to consider:
1. what is your reaction temperature? the material's melting point need to
be higher than that.
2. Is your reactor a batch reactor or a fixed-bed continuous reactor? If
fixed bed, your carrier needs to be permeable for gases.
3. Is your reactor horizontal or vertical?
4. What is the carbon source in your reaction? The carrier must not be
chemically or physically reactive with the carbo

看来是我没把问题说明白。汗.......
我想问的是,做完试验后,该用什么东西来保存我得到的试验样品。
理论上说,样品是附着生长在不锈钢mesh上,我该用什么来保存 。

我想知道具体的类型,保存样品时有什么技术要求和操作规范啊?在这个方面我真的是一片空白啊。
比如,什么厂家的什么型号的。可以随便找个盒子吗?
一直很小心的,前期准备已经很费尽周折了,现在更加小心的说。
生怕这层mesh和什么表面一接触,到时送去检测时什么东西都没有了。到时秋季就别指
望还拿钱了。
