Position Summary:
Cabot Inkjet Colorants are colloidal dispersions, made with proprietary
treating agents. They are used in highly complex fluids -- inkjet inks --
which are aqeuous systems, but include organic solvents, polymers and
surfactants. This complex fluid must deliver ever-higher performance on
paper -- itself a very complex system.
The person who holds this position is expected to apply a theoretically
sound, yet practical, approach to studying the interactions of all these
systems, and use the information to improve products. Potential growth into
a leadership role possible for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities:
In depth knowledge of one of : colloid science, surface science, complex
fluids
Flexibility, curiosity and drive to learn in allied fields as projects
develop
Strong written and oral communication
Organized and creative
Requirements:
PhD or equivalent focused in one of : colloid science, surface science,
complex fluids.
3-6 yrs. experience preferred
