Google has implemented a new feature which enables you to type a telephone
number into the search bar and hit enter and you will be given the person's
name and address. If you then hit Map, you will get a map to the person's
house. Everyone should be aware of this!
It's a nationwide reverse telephone book.
If a child gives out his/her phone number, someone can now look it up to
find out where he/she lives. The safety issues are obvious, and alarming.

Google的这些信息跟黄/白页一致
黄页上的算是公开信息，有名字，电话和地址
而且如果这个人是电话的申请人，搜索他全名加所在州，也能得电话和地址
不想公开的话有两个办法
一是Google出你自己的信息以后点击打开Search Result
有一个Link：“Request to have your name removed from this list”
但是这样Google里面没有你的私人信息了， 黄页和Yahoo的People Search照样能检索的
一样的信息
最有效的办法，是要求电话公司不Publish你的座机号码，这样你会有额外Charge，比如
$0.45/月。
其实即使你这么做了，任何人想要查你，花钱同样可以从 Intelius 等机构查到你的信
息，这些信息是从 Credit Report 来的，所以可能更详细，至少还包括了你过去一定
时间换过的住址，电话。我猜想有些公司招人的时候做Background Check就是通过这些
机构搞得
。
