发帖数: 257 | 7 邻居木得选啊. 老印占一半以上吧. 偶对老印没什么坏感, 可是去gym练yoga或者cadio
dance的时候, 若运气不好, 遇到味道大的, 真是肉体和心灵的巨大折磨啊.
在偶看来, 邻居beside你的更重要啊. 千万不要有什么音响器材发烧友外加party
animal, 偶这么耐斯, 每次都要擂门, 注意门铃是听不到的, 只有擂门才能让他们稍微
收敛一下. |

我心仪的房子各方面都不错， 就是朝向是我唯一不满意的地方。 我是比较喜欢阳光的
人， 那个房子朝北， 但是由于楼层高， 所以还不特别暗， 可是跟南面的房子还是没
法比我想。 纠结啊。。。 |

area to live, full of hot girls and good looking men. Bars and restaurants
are also much nicer. Newport is like a poor combination of Mumbai and PuDong
combined into one, with the same people to match. |

1905年的房子非得崩溃了。 虽然我也很喜欢那种文化的感觉。

housings here.though the building size may be smaller than New Port, they
are very nice inside. I live in an apt that's over 1200 sq ft with parking..
. Just try to take the morning PATH train from Newport and then try it again
from Hoboken, you would appreciate the differences right the way. I bet. |

后来买了所有房间（客厅和卧室）全部朝南的。有部分nyc downtown view。四个字总
结：冬暖夏凉
暖气是包括在管理费里的，只需要付电费（用电驱动暖气工作），但是因为冬天常年室
温保持在72度，外面很冷的时候才降到70。我是南方人，很讨厌开暖气，怕干燥。所以
就算开了，也只开到72度
夏天只有在做饭时间要开冷气，开到75度，到晚上8点就可以关掉。
因为阳光很好，所以在客厅里养的几盆植物都长得很健康。洗被褥也直接晾客厅里，可
以晒大半天的太阳。一天就干。（如果烘干的话被褥会皱巴巴的很难看！）
所以每个月电费只在30-40块之间。

以后很少特意去看其实， 呵呵。 谢谢你坚定了我找朝南房子的信心。

家的感觉。住在Hoboken，一个楼层两户人家，大家都是年轻人而且做什么的都有，很
容易就打成一片，对这个社区比较有归属感。hoboken比较多元化，也比较relax。
相比之下newport的人口就单一很多，80％是中国人或是印度人，90％以上是年收8w到
30w的金融产业链的辅助人员（真正有钱的banker是不住那里的）。我有一个从孟买来
的同事觉得newport很像孟买的开发区，我的表妹却觉得newport像是浦东。我觉得两个
都是。。。
看你喜欢哪一种风格了。价格好像都差不多。 |

it is important to you. There is no way I would ever want to live in those
giant new construction condo buildings. I prefer more intimate, smaller
buildings with 1, at most 2 families on each fllor.
I also enjoy walking around the old blocks in Hoboken and visit those mom-
pop record shops, restaurants, bakeries, and cafes. The expereince, the
unexpected discoveries, and the small delights you find in these shops can
never be replaced by big institutional stores such as Target, GAP, or
BestBuy, or Macys.
Regarding gehtto Newport mall, I am not sure how you feel, but I just don't think
the people shopping are the people I want to be seen shopping together. and shops there offers no attractions to me at all. Just take a look at the customers the
mall attracts.
Hoboken residents may not be all that wealthy, but is it that important? I enjoy meeting with people from all walks of lives. The world would be an extremely boring place if everyone is 2nd yr jr financial analyst at a major bank.
BTW, the GS building in exchange place is the home to most of its operational and
IT staffs. Don't think any bankers actually work there.

Never thought Exchange Place is the new Tribeca. A quick search on NJMLS,
many new condos in downtown areas are selling under 400k incuding ones in so
called luxury buildings.
The big shots I know of will not be caught dead living in Jersey City.
