The president is expected to spend around an hour at WTC with Mayor Michael
Bloomberg, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, touring the
16-acre site and One World Trade Center.
The visit, which will shut down most streets in the area, is Obama's first
to the site since the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
From there, Obama will head to Sarah Jessica Parker's West Village home for
a fundraiser that will include such guests as Vogue editor Anna Wintour,
followed by a trip to the Plaza Hotel and finally a performance by Mariah
Carey, for which tickets reportedly cost $10,000 each. Obama is expected to
leave the city by 8 p.m., Schwartz said.
