有收到任何政府寄来的像1099G类似的表格。
上网查了一下，不知道有没有找对：

这个是short term disability benefits的网站，应该是对的。按照网站信息，是不是
说我老婆的雇主寄来的w2会包括这笔收入呢？我只要把她的w2填上去就万事大吉了呢？
但我看了一下，她的w2好像没有包括这笔收入，很困惑。
有没有有类似经验的高人指点一下。谢谢！时间紧迫，可能需要找我老婆的雇主重办w2. |

ask
your payroll
BOX 16 STATE WAGES, TIPS, ETC.
State Taxable Wages (gross earnings less non-taxable items) does not include
employer paid benefits or non-taxable items such as Flex Benefits, mileage
reimbursement, or short-term disability to list a few.

benefits.

New Jersey temporary disability is funded by both employee and employer
contributions. Therefore the benefit is taxable, but only in proportion to
the contributions made by your employer. The taxable amount should appear
on your W2 statement at the end of each tax year. NJ temporary disability
benefits are not subject to New Jersey income taxes.
The question is: where should it appears on the W2 statement? |

insurance, but not for state plan benefits.
Code J—Nontaxable sick pay. Show any sick pay that was paid by a third-
party and was not includible in income (and not shown in boxes 1, 3, and 5)
because the employee contributed to the sick pay plan. Do not include
nontaxable disability payments made directly by a state.

这个short term disability相当于payroll里的 third party sick pay, 收到的
benefit amount每月会由state给employer一封信通知，明确标示了什么哪些数字应该
放在w2的哪个box，一般影响到的是w2 box 3,4,5,6和box 12，employer应该每个
quater报表的时候报给联邦。年底的时候， state会给一个总表给employer。
所以你需要做的，第一，检查一下你收到的w2是否已经包含了这些收入。
第二，如果没有的话，需要联系employer做更改，要求issue新的w2，employer那边要
做940,941年度季度报表的修正表，需要报给IRS，同时支付empoyer方面应补缴的Tax。 |
