What is a Marketplace and how do I find more information about my state’s
Marketplace?
The Marketplace is a tool where individuals can purchase health insurance
coverage for them and their family. Each state is required to provide a
Marketplace where its residents can purchase health plans. Some states built
their own Marketplaces and some states partnered or fully relied on the
Federal government to provide Marketplaces. Go to www.healthcare.gov for
more information.

medicaid.

company's insurance policy. I bought Horizon for her. It's expensive, but at
least gave me peace of mind since my mother has lots of health issues.

must be between 18 and 65 years old. We are sorry we are unable to process

发帖数: 189 | 9 on exchange可以自己申请，tax credit can apply to premium, 或者报税时申报tax
credit
要便宜的话可以看off exchange的一些policy, nj 各个insurance carrier都有一些
local or regional的产品。 |

发帖数: 1192 | 10 Call them. Your parents will not be eligible for Medicare unless they have
been a US resident for 5 yrs. Go to SS office and get a letter stating they
are not eligible for Medicare. You'll need that letter when you apply
individual insurance for them.

Pfizer是这样的。

requirements of the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) but is not
available for purchase within a state exchange. An exchange is a government-
run marketplace of health insurance plans. |

off exchange是individual carrier自己有的，你要call carrier or broker to get
the quotes.
off exchange 通常会便宜，但是doc access 比较limited. 很多是local or regional
甚至是community wide.
