有几个问题：
1。原来驾照失效超过1个月了，还能更换么？
2。更换驾照需要H1B证明么？没发现主页上有提到
3。要是不得不重新考驾照的话，在纽约考麻烦么？
4。申请一个NY state id是不是比考驾照容易得多？

2 要，DMV靠it给出expiration date
3 不用考
4 有驾照还要整个NY state id？

my problem is, in my previous state, for international students, the driver
license has to be renewed EVERY year, and is marked as "temporary", even
though I have 6+ years of driving experice. So I doubt NY DMV will be
willing to replace my expired/temporary license...

be printed on your driver license.
But, DPZC told me that you don't need to renew it even after the date
because it just shows your status is temporary and there's a real driver
license expire date on the bottom.

Are you sure? When I rent a car from Enterprise, the staff remindered me
that my driver license ( actually the "Temporary Visitor" piece ) would be
expired soon.... So I have to go to DMV office to renew it every year when
EAD expires : (

it.
