Qualifying Test in January. This is a great seasonal job in New York City
and a great way to be in top physical condition while helping to keep
millions of New Yorkers safe.
Parks' beaches are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, and
the pools are open from late June through Labor Day.
Lifeguards work 48 hours each week and first-year lifeguards will earn a
minimum of $13.57 an hour, for a weekly salary of over $650.00.As one of
just 1,200 New York City Lifeguards, you are part of an elite group that
is committed to serving the public. You may take the qualifying test at
one of the locations listed on the website below. Please make sure to
bring a bathing suit, a towel and a lock (for your locker). Goggles are
optional.

发帖数: 33825 | 6 uccessful completion of the training program means that you have:
Completed all 40 hours of training.
Passed a CPR course.
Passed all final swimming tests and a written test.
Note: you must be able to swim 440 yards in 7 minutes and 40 seconds to qual
ify for a pool assignment, or 6 minutes and 40 seconds to qualify for a beac
h assignment. Beach lifeguards must also complete a 300-yard ocean swim.
If you successfully complete the training program, you may be offered a full
-time job for the summer working in one of the best cities in the world.
