At about 3:00 AM on February 11, 2011, a male student was cut with a box
cutter and another student was punched while they were in the midst of a
disturbance that occurred in front of 277 MLK Blvd. After the incident, one
of the victims went to the Rutgers Campus where he was assisted by Rutgers
Police officers and transported to a hospital, and the other victim went
home. Both students are from Fairleigh Dickinson-Teaneck, and their injuries
are not serious.
The suspects are described as follows:
1. Hispanic male, 5’6” tall, possibly with a goatee, wearing a red
and black knit hat, black puffy jacket, blue jeans, known as “Gotti.”
2. Black male known as “Fabian,” with no further description.
Newark Police Department has been made aware of the incident and the crime
is being jointly investigated by the Rutgers and NJIT Police Departments. |
