RightRides offers women and LGBTQ individuals a free, safe, late night ride
home on Friday and Saturday nights from 11:59 PM - 3 AM, (early Saturday or
Sunday morning) in up to 45 NYC neighborhoods across four NYC boroughs. To
call for a ride, the dispatch number is (888) 215-SAFE (7233).
To catch a ride, women—and now, people who identify as trans or genderqueer
—can call a dispatcher and give their location and destination. The
dispatcher then lets the rider know how soon she can expect the arrival of
her chauffer duo, at least one of which will be female. Wait times average
ten minutes. For information on the benefit party or to volunteer, visit
rightrides.org. For a ride, call 718-964-7781. Midnight–3am; free.

donate the money donate it b/c they think this is a good idea.

this program. by wasted i mean money used not wisely and efficiently, money
that could have been put to better use. yes people donate money to
nonprofits, but they may not aware of the detailed projects that they do.
and in this case, if someone do know their projects and still decided to
give money, then there is nothing more can be conluded but the fact that
they are simply dumb poeple.
