天commute到long island city上班，请问这样现实吗？如果不现实，那我应该在纽约
的那一片找房子呢？
另外，因为我是女生一个人住，所以safety绝对是最重要的，想问问大家我应该在哪一
片找房子呢(大家有好的apartment complex推荐么？），哪些区域应该避免呢？thank

if you do not care about the city tax, it might be better to live in queens
(elmhurst/flushing/jackson heights/rego park). |

If you have a decent job, always consider Manhattan first. |

reason is that I want to keep my car for weekend grocery shopping and also
my husband could avoid all the traffic to visit me by car. But please
correct me if I am wrong.

For you, Elmhurst & Jackson Heights (Between 74th Street & 82nd Street along
Roosevelt Ave. would be good choices too.
In addition, not sure how far your office is from the LIRR station, if close
, you can try Douglaston or Little Neck, or even Great Neck.

across East River, the only thing I don't like is it is too windy in the
winter. You can find grocery and paid monthly parking near these rental
bldgs. Also you can consider condo sublet in the neighborhood. Midtown
Manhattan is nice to live and easy to commute, however to keep a car you
will need to spend extra $$. |

expensive and the prices have not dropped a bit despite the economy
downturn in the past few years.
