As a traditional north american WSN, I guarantee you if you tell any of them
that you just came to US and wanna join the game. They are more than happy
to welcome you. Most american wsn are not good at asking strange girls to

brothers drove them to school and put their stuffs in places for them.
at least that is what happened in my school. all those rich kids have their
whole family coming. just like chinese universities haha.

move out, everyone else has their parents to help them to pack. and I have
to pack all my shit myself and move out myself.
summers are fine b/c there were always internships and going back to China.
But winter is the most depressing time. God, for one winter I almost went
insane staying in my dorms for 3 weeks without seeing any friend.

One trick I learnt from living in dorm, was:
American students don't want to deal with people who seems smart. Because I
was very stupid, I got many American friends. They always told me I was
different than other Chinese students. So if you wanted to make friends
with American, tried to be stupid, or, at least, not to behave too smart.

发帖数: 25262 | 32 My freshman year roommate was more lucky, the Chinese program international student office coordinator went to the airport to pick him up. He got all the help he needs. Even in summer, he just moved all his stuffs to the coordinator's house and lived there for free while everyone else moved stuffs to storage. It depends on which school you went to. Usually people are more friendly and nicer in small schools(liberal arts).
College life has a lot of memory..Americans are nice to each other when they don't know each other well. Once they know each other well, dirty words are must..

away from home. It's a wild wild west, especially in the first year. Having
new life, meeting new people, and handling college academic works and of
course, parties every week.
