First of all, sorry for not being able to type Chinese here.
I am currently living in GA and plan to buy a 2011 Honda Accord LX auto
transmission. I got some internet quotes. Some are from Georgia, others from
south Carolina (SC) and North Carolina (NC).
I found out that all the good prices came from SC and NC. The best OTD price
I got is this one:
2011 Honda Accord-LX-Automatic $ 20,157.00 + 186.50 Splash Guards + 299.00
Adm. Fee + 1,424.05 Ga. Tax + 78.00 Ga. New Plate
Totally -------------------- $ 22,144.55 OTD
But this dealer is about 2 hours driving from my city.
The best quote from local dealer is $22,930 OTD.
My questions are as followings:
1). Should I go and buy the car from the dealer in another state (which
needs 1-2 hours driving)? I am worrying that if they play some tricks (for
example, raising the price or saying that they don't have car with the right
color, etc.), I will lose a lot of time and gas.
2). One of my friends reminded me that it is better to get a car from local
dealer because if there is something wrong with the new car, you can easily
bring it to the dealer and ask them to fix it. Also, it will be much easier
to do the maintenance in the local dealer. Is he correct on this?
3). I want to make the purchase at the end of this month and get a good deal
. But some local dealers called me and said they had less and less cars in
hand because of the Japan earthquake and tsunami. So it is better to buy as
soon as possible. Are they right?
